Dog Daycare FAQ — Everything You Need to Know

Have a question about SuperDoggos? We've got answers.

Getting Started

What is the assessment and why is it required?

Every new dog starts with a free one-on-one assessment after daycare hours. It's a chance for us to meet your dog, evaluate their temperament and socialization style, and make sure they'll be a great fit for our group. It also gives you a chance to tour the facility and ask any questions. There's no commitment — it's just a friendly meet and greet.

How do I sign up?

Create a free profile on our client portal. Fill out your dog's information, then book an assessment. If your preferred time isn't available, email us at concierge@superdoggostoronto.com and we'll find a time that works.

What should I know before my dog's first day?

On the first day, we ask that dogs arrive at 7:00 AM so they can be among the first to enter and welcome the other dogs as they arrive. This helps avoid the stress of walking into a room that's already full. We focus on slow introductions and plenty of positive reinforcement to ensure a calm and comfortable first experience.

Pricing

How much does dog daycare cost?

A single full day is $58 and a half day is $42 (pre-tax). We offer 10-packs ($540 full day / $380 half day) and 20-packs ($1,000 full day / $700 half day) for significant savings. Multi-dog households receive a 20% sibling discount.

Do packages expire?

No — packages never expire. Use them at your own pace.

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes! If you have two or more dogs from the same household, you receive 20% off. The discount applies to all package types.

Requirements

What vaccinations does my dog need?

All dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations, flea prevention, and the Bordetella (kennel cough) shot. Please bring proof of vaccination to your assessment.

Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?

Medium to large dogs over 12 months must be spayed or neutered. Smaller dogs must be fixed by 8 months. Puppies under these age thresholds are welcome intact.

How old does my puppy need to be?

Puppies must be at least 13 weeks old to attend daycare. This ensures they've had their initial round of vaccinations and are ready for group socialization.

Daily Life

What does a typical day look like?

Dogs arrive between 7–10 AM for supervised play. At 10 AM, they go for walks and outdoor time. Late morning is for feedings and naps. The afternoon includes more walks, quiet rest, and wind-down time. Pick-up is between 4–7 PM. Every dog gets a daily report card through the app.

How are dogs grouped?

We group dogs by temperament and energy level, not just size. This means a calm large dog might be with a mellow medium dog, rather than being paired with a high-energy dog of the same size. Better matches mean happier, less stressed dogs.

Do the dogs go outside?

Yes! Dogs get outdoor time twice a day — morning and afternoon walks plus backyard time. We monitor weather conditions and adjust accordingly for their safety and comfort.

Logistics

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Sunday: Closed (available for private event rentals). Full-day drop-off is 7–10 AM with pick-up at 4–7 PM. Half-day options are also available.

Where are you located?

We're at 795 Queen St W in the heart of Queen West, downtown Toronto — a 10-minute walk from Trinity Bellwoods Park. We're easily accessible from Ossington, Parkdale, Liberty Village, and King West.

Is there parking?

Street parking is available on Queen St W. For easier drop-off and pick-up, we recommend using the back alley behind the building — you can pull right up to the door.

Safety

What happens if a dog shows aggression?

Safety is our top priority. If a dog displays aggressive behaviour, we separate them immediately and contact the owner. Dogs with a history of aggression with other dogs or people are not accepted into our program. This policy keeps every dog safe.

How many dogs do you take at once?

We keep our groups intentionally small. We never overcrowd the facility — if we're at capacity, we won't accept more dogs that day. This ensures every dog gets genuine individual attention and supervision.

What makes the facility safe?

Our 2,000 sq ft space is climate-controlled with quality air purification and rubber mat flooring for joint comfort. There are no basements or confined areas. Every team member is personally trained by our founder in dog body language, behaviour, and first aid.
